Meet an ISC Engineer - Cathy Almond!

Here’s another short profile of one of our engineers, so our customers can learn a little more about us. We hope you find them as interesting as we do!

Cathy Almond of ISC

Any ISC customer who has reached out to us for support services has probably interacted at least once with Cathy Almond, the senior support engineer and leader of ISC’s Support team. Cathy, who lived for many years just outside of London, now makes her home in Cornwall, England, with her husband.

Cathy joined ISC in 2009 and her many years of experience have been invaluable, both to her coworkers and to our support customers. Cathy has a degree in Mathematics from Oxford University and previously worked for HP before coming to ISC.

Cathy specializes in troubleshooting (anything!), but at ISC applies her skills and talents mostly to ISC BIND and ISC DHCP, and more recently to Kea DHCP.

Cathy loves working for ISC because her colleagues are smart, funny, and lovely people to work with. She says, “ISC is a great team and every day in Support is different; you never know what customers and users are going to throw at you!”

In her spare time, Cathy is an avid rower (scull and sweep and owner of her own single scull) and also sings in a local choir. Her most cherished title is “Moomin” (grandma) to Emilia Trillian, who was born in February 2020.

Thank you for using ISC’s software and we hope you have enjoyed this peek behind the ISC curtain. We welcome your feedback at marketing@isc.org and look forward to bringing you more employee profiles in the future.
